Installation of SIMs using SOLUS 3


Once SOLUS 3 is launched select environment from the top set of tabs

Then select Targets


The menu below that will have clients at the bottom of the screen there is a button saying ‘Add’


Once you select this will be prompted to select which SIMS products you would like to install to a machine. Select which products you require then click on ‘Choose Clients’


The next menu to load will show your active directory structure, you can also add machine by selecting network. If you select network you either need to know the IP of the machine or the machine name. If using Active Directory OU group and select the machine, using Network or AD you can select multiple machines you add machines to the left hand column by clicking the single arrow or the >> arrow which moves all machines listed on the right hand side.


If you try and select a machine that already has the client on it will throw an error up on screen stating this.


Once you have all the machines selected you want click ok.

This will now install the agent onto the machines selected and pull down the products you selected.


You can view the progression of this by selecting ‘Agents’ on the top tab and then selecting ‘agents’ on the secondary tab. You will see the machines with agent installed. It will tell you information across the top of version and messages.


You can filter the results of any column by selecting the filter symbol in the top corners of the columns.

If you select a machine in the list you will also get additional buttons including to reinstall agent, uninstall agent, check status and check version.
